Green Aleppo Soap is also known as Aleppo House Style. In the past families made these themselves for their own use, using mainly extra virgin olive oil. Although it has been passed down through generations now only a few people have the knowledge to making this soap. The soap is a descendant of the soap from Syria and was brought to life before 1000 BC. Between the Tigris and the Euphrates, in Mesopotamia in Aleppo, the city of soap, it is produced traditionally. The olive oil is poured in a large kettle, mixed with spring water and transforms into soap. After cooling the raw mass, the soap is cut into pieces by hand on the ground.
